Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
On your arrival at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, you'll be welcomed by our representative. After helping you with the boarding formalities, he'll escort you to the hotel. After having a welcome dinner, you'll be briefed about the tour. Thereafter, you can retire to your respective beds.
Day 02: Delhi
This day is reserved for exploring the capital city of India. Get up early and have a delectable multi-cuisine breakfast at the hotel. Henceforth, start your day's sightseeing tour from the Red Fort, the marvelous red stone wonder built in the heart of the city. From here, move onto Jama Masjid, lying on the other side of the road, a magnificent mosque which is a living example of the exquisite Mughal architecture. Later, explore Raj Ghat - the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, India Gate - a war memorial, and Rashtrapati Bhavan - President's House. Afterwards, visit the new city where you will visit Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Return back to the hotel and call it a day.
Day 03: Delhi - Agra
Have a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel and drive towards the medieval Mughal city of Agra. On the way to Agra, make a halt at Sikandra, Akbar's mausoleum, which was started during his own reign but was completed by his son Jehangir. It is a splendid tomb surrounded by sprawling gardens. Thereafter, continue traveling towards Agra and on reaching, make a check in at the hotel. The night will be spent here.
Day 04: Agra
On day four of the tour, you'll be taken on a guided tour of this beautiful old city, where the streets merge into each other and bustle with the crowd, thereby following the culture of the early Mughals. Taj Mahal, probably the most celebrated love monument on earth, will be your first stop today. This marble masterpiece still sings the glory of eternal love. See it change its hues from early morning until after sunset. Later, visit the Agra Fort which harbors a collection of a number of monuments - big and small. Itmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb will be your last destination, after which you'll drive back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05: Agra - Jaipur
Post breakfast, you'll journey to Jaipur. En-route, visit the beautiful sandstone marvel at Fatehpur Sikri, which once served as the capital of Akbar's empire, but was later abandoned because of scarcity of water. Later, continue your travel towards the Pink City - Jaipur. The city was constructed in the 18th century and being a planned city was always a strategic point for all invaders. As soon as you arrive in Jaipur, you'll be accommodated in a hotel where you'll spend the night.
Day 06: Jaipur
Have an early morning breakfast at the hotel, after which you'll be taken on a half day excursion to the Amber Fort. You will be excavating this fort on the backs of well ornamented and beautifully colored elephants, exactly like the emperors used to do. From here, you'll move towards the City Fort located on the outskirts of the Jaipur city. En-route, a stopover at the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds will be made. The Rajput ladies used the 953 windows carved intricately and with precision to have a look at the festivities from this palace without being visible to the general public. At noon, you'll head to the City Palace, which has a museum with collections of costumes, armory, manuscripts, and paintings. The last destination for the day will be the Royal observatory, Jantar Mantar. The instruments present here are still used for giving accurate judgment of the celestial bodies. Drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07: Jaipur - Nagaur
Day seven will begin with a drive away to the sandy city of Nagaur. Have a delectable breakfast at the hotel and afterwards, travel to Nagaur. As you arrive at Nagaur, you'll be accommodated in a luxurious tent. The town is famous for the cattle fair held here annually. A large number of cows, buffalos, camels, and oxen are gathered and traded during the fair. Besides, the city has always been the fortress of the Rajputs; hence, you can sight the flickers of their culture in the current generation. You will stay at the tents for the night.
Day 08: Nagaur
Have a sumptuous breakfast and visit the famous cattle fair. This fair is organized collectively by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Department of Tourism of the state. As many as 80,000 cattle owners bring their cattle to this fair to trade. Enjoy this colorful display of culture and festivities. For the overnight stay, you'll be taken back to the tents.
Day 09: Nagaur - Bikaner
After a peaceful night at Nagaur, you'll be served an open air breakfast. Later, start your journey towards Bikaner. Located in the midst of the popular Thar Desert, Bikaner is named after its founder Rao Bhika in late 15th century. It once used to be the famous trade route before Prince Bhika conquered it. The place has a number of oases amidst the desert. This sandstone city retains some of the most artistic works of medieval architecture. Upon your arrival at Bikaner, check in to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10: Bikaner - Jaisalmer
After an early rise, you'll be served a delightful Rajasthani breakfast at the hotel. The first tourist attraction for the day will be Junagarh Fort, unique and different from other Rajasthani Forts because it has a moat to safeguard it; rather than the strategic location which used to be the security feature of most of the other Rajasthani fortresses. The architecture of the bastion is unparalleled and is elaborated with beautiful balconies and lacquered doors. From here, continue your journey to Jaisalmer. You will visit this city after crossing vast expanse of sands. This Golden City has an incredible medieval feel to its atmosphere. On your arrival, you'll be transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11: Jaisalmer
Breakfast will be served at the hotel restaurant. Later, head out to explore the city, beginning with the beautiful fort located on the hilltop. The city has a number of Jain Temples, apart from beautifully decorated havelis scattered in abundance hither and thither. The fort has a labyrinth of streets inside it and you'll come across a number of stray cattle while doing so. Later, visit the Salim Singh Haveli, which gives an appearance of a big ship. Nathumal Haveli and Patwon ki Haveli are some exquisite and exclusive monuments, famous for their ornate craftsmanship. You will be staying at the hotel for the night.
Day 12: Jaisalmer
Day 12 will be spent visiting the Desert Festival after a wholesome breakfast at the hotel. This three day extravaganza has a number of highlights, which include the color, the music, and the sweet smell of the earth of Rajasthan. Here, you can sight a number of folk artists performing at the beats of folk music, camel rides, snake charmers, puppeteers, musicians, and acrobats. Since a number of competitions are organized for the audience, you can try your luck one of them. For overnight stay, you'll be driven back to the hotel.
Day 13: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur - Luni
Your day will start off with a journey to Luni, after a delicious morning meal at the hotel. On your way to Luni, you will visit the Rajasthani royal bastion of Jodhpur. All houses, here, are painted in the color sky blue. It once used to be the capital of entire Marwar state. As you arrive, you'll be taken on a sightseeing spree and visit Mehrangarh Fort, from the terrace of which you can get a bird's eye view of the entire city. The blue color seen prominently in the city denotes the residence of Hindu upper castes. Jaswant Thada, a striking marble cenotaph built for Maharajah Jaswant Singh II, will be another tourist site here. Later, continue to Luni. On reaching, check in to a heritage hotel where you'll enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 14: Luni - Ranakpur - Udaipur
Have breakfast at the heritage hotel, exactly like the Maharajas. Henceforth, drive to the beautiful city of Udaipur, with a stopover at Ranakpur to see the beautiful architecture of the Jain temples. The City of Palaces, Udaipur is beautifully nestled among the Aravalis of the Southern part of Rajasthan. It is considered as the "Venice of the East" because of the sprawling gardens, beautifully constructed palaces, and medieval monuments. On your arrival, you'll be transferred to the hotel. Spend the night here.
Day 15: Udaipur
Post breakfast, you'll be taken on a day's tour of the romantic city. The City Palace, built on the banks of Lake Pichola, will be the first attraction. It is actually a complex of a number of palaces which showcase an impressive blend of Rajput and Mughal influences. The place is still occupied by the Royal family while a part of it is converted into a museum, which harbors a number of artifacts from the marvelous Rajput era. You will also visit Sahelion ki Bari, a pleasure garden built for the maids of the palace. You'll return to the hotel after enjoying a hearty boat ride on Lake Pichola. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 16: Udaipur - Mumbai
After a scrumptious breakfast, you'll be driven to the airport to catch a flight to Mumbai, the city of dreams. As you reach Mumbai, you'll be taken on a sightseeing tour of the city. Visits to the arch Gateway of India - a historical landmark, Kamla Nehru Park, and the hanging gardens are on the cards. Thereafter, you'll be taken on a ride by the towers of silence, Mani Bhawan and Marine Drive. You'll be accommodated at a plush hotel for overnight stay.
Day 17: Mumbai Departure
An early rise will let you enjoy the flavorsome breakfast to its best amidst the hustling and bustling Mumbai. Henceforth, you'll be escorted to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport by our representative to board the flight to your onward destination.
