Day 01: Arrival at Mumbai
As you arrive at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, you'll be welcomed by our local executive who'll help you with the boarding formalities. Later, he'll escort you to the hotel where you can relax and freshen up. This cosmopolitan metropolis has a splendid past since it served as a major port in colonial India. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 02: Mumbai - Udaipur
After an early morning meal, head out on a guided tour of the city. You'll be taken to the Gateway of India which is a landmark describing the magnanimity of the British rule in India. Later, visit some other monuments in Mumbai, namely, Kamala Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens, Towers of Silence, Mani Bhawan Museum, and Marine Drive. Henceforth, you'll be driven to the airport to take a flight to Udaipur. As you arrive, you'll be escorted to the hotel to spend the night.
Day 03: Udaipur
After having a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken on a tour of the City of Lakes. Firstly, you'll visit the City Palace, built on the banks of Lake Pichola. The architecture of the place is highly commendable because of its intricate mix of Mughal and Rajput architecture. A part of the palace is still occupied by the royal family. Later, visit the Garden of Maids and thereafter, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Overnight will be spent at the hotel.
Day 04: Udaipur - Poshina
Have a delectable breakfast at the hotel, after which you'll be driven to Poshina, a tribal area in the Aravali Hills. You'll come in contact with people of different tribal settlements like Bhil & Garasia tribes of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Observe and explore the various artisans, silversmiths and potters. You can pick up plenty of inexpensive tribal, metal and junk jewelry from here. Spend the night at the hotel in Poshina.
Day 05: Poshina
Post a delectable breakfast, head out to celebrate Holi, the festival of colors. This festival is a classic example of the victory of good over bad. On this occasion, people in India come together despite of all cultural and religious differences and unite in to sweet relationships. People spend the day throwing colored powder and wet colors over each other. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 06: Poshina - Ahmedabad
After a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel, you'll be driven to Ahmedabad. On your way, you'll halt at Modhera and Patan, an ancient Hindu capital. Later, continue towards Ahmedabad, situated on the banks of River Sabarmati. On reaching, you'll be escorted to a hotel to spend the night.
Day 07: Ahmedabad
Day seven will see you moving out for a guided tour of the beautiful city of Ahmedabad. After breakfast, explore the Jama Masjid which was constructed by Ahmed Shah in 1424. The domed structure is a wonderful piece of Mughal architecture. Later, visit the Vav, a multistory water tank, showcasing a blend of Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist styles. End the day with a visit to Sabarmati Ashram, the place where Mahatma Gandhi lived for quite some time. The ashram is now converted into a library cum museum. You will be spending the night at the hotel.
Day 08: Ahmedabad - Bhavnagar
Have a lip-smacking Marwari breakfast at the hotel, after which you'll be driven to the famed city of Bhavnagar. This city boasts of a vast history since it served as a port for the English colonials. The city sprawls with small bazaars and myriad streets, each one having a number of shops. The city still holds its colonial look with overhanging wooden balconies, thousands of little shops, and lots of local colors. You'll be accommodated at the hotel upon your arrival. Henceforth, visit the Gandhi Smriti Bhavan, a library-cum-museum and a memorabilia. Overnight will be spent at the hotel.
Day 09: Bhavnagar - Palitana - Diu
On day nine of the tour, you'll be driven to Diu en-route Palitana. Palitana is one of the major Jain pilgrimage sites. Here, you'll visit the Jain Temples, located on the Shatrunjaya Hill. The 300 temples housed form the world's largest temple complex. Later, continue your journey to Diu and on reaching, you'll be accommodated at a hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10: Diu - Junagarh
The morning will be spent in touring the city of Diu. Major tourist attractions include the Diu Fort, St. Paul's Church, and St. Thomas' Church. From here, continue your tour towards the next destination, Junagarh. A short halt will be made at Somanth Temple. The temple displays some wonderful works of architecture and craftsmanship. Upon your arrival at Junagarh, make a check in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 11: Junagarh
Have an early morning breakfast at the hotel and head out to explore the city. While touring the city, you'll be visiting Uperkot Fort, situated in the eastern part of Junagarh. History has it that the fort has gone through a number of besieges. Other famous destinations will be Mahabat Maqbara, famous for the intricate craftsmanship and remarkable architecture, and Durbar Hall Museum which is replete with artifacts and ornaments. Drive back to the hotel to spend the night.
Day 12: Junagarh - Gondal
A delicious breakfast will be served at the hotel, after which you'll be travelled to the beautiful city of Gondal. The city offers a lot in terms of landscapes and monuments, though it is highly revered for the Riverside Palace. The palace is beautified with a number of antique items and artifacts. The palace is named so because it is set by the River Gondali. As you reach, make a check in at the hotel. Relax and refresh for a short while, after which spend the rest of the day as per your choice. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 13: Gondal - Bhuj
Enjoy the palatable breakfast at the hotel. Henceforth, drive towards Bhuj, your next destination. Bhuj is famous for Banni villages which are the abode of some interesting tribes. However, you need an explicit permission of the DSP to visit these villages. Check in to the hotel at Bhuj and call it a day, post dinner.
Day 14: Bhuj
Wake up early as the mornings of this small place are really refreshing and uplifting. You'll be visiting the Banni tribal villages today. This place seems to have frozen in time as you'll notice minimal changes in the lifestyle of the people. The people of this tribe are master craftsmen. Observe them making a number of masterpieces on cloth, metal, clay and paper. Be mesmerized as they display their art in front of you. Return back to the hotel in Bhuj to spend the night.
Day 15: Bhuj - Mumbai
Have a sumptuous traditional breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter, you'll be driven to Bhuj Airport to board the flight to Mumbai. On arrival at Mumbai Airport, you'll be received by our representative who'll escort you to the hotel. After a short nap, you can visit the nearby places of interest and markets for souvenir shopping. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 16: Mumbai Departure
Enjoy the wholesome morning meal served at the hotel. Henceforth, you'll be transferred to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport to catch a flight for your onward journey. Have a happy and safe journey!
