Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
On the day of your arrival at Delhi, our representative will welcome you. From here, he'll escort you to the hotel where you can relax until a welcome dinner is served. You'll also be briefed about the whole trip. Try hitting the sack early as you need to be fresh as a daisy for the trip starting the next morning.
Day 02: Delhi
You'll be served a lip-smacking multi-cuisine breakfast in the morning. Thereafter, embark on the sightseeing trip of the magical city of Delhi. Your touring map will include Jama Masjid, one of India's oldest and largest mosques. Other places to see here are the magnificently beautiful Red Fort, Raj Ghat - the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, Birla Temple, Bahai Temple, Humayun Tomb, and Qutub Minar. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Chandigarh - Nalagarh
Have an early breakfast, after which you'll be dropped at the railway station to board the train to Chandigarh. From Chandigarh, a drive of about 50 km further will reach you at Nalagarh. As you reach, you'll be accommodated in a hotel where you can unwind and relax for the day. Explore the surrounding areas of the hotel and get acquainted with the cool and pleasant weather. The mesmerizing views from the hotel are astoundingly picturesque. Enjoy the weather and the scenery to the best! Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 04: Nalagarh - Mandi
Day four is reserved for a peaceful stay at Nalagarh, popularly known as the Gateway to Himachal Pradesh. After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, you'll travel towards the historic town of Mandi. When you reach at Mandi after about 5 hours of journey, make a check in at the hotel. If time permits, you can explore the locality of the hotel which includes a small market and the township. Mandi is commonly referred to as the "Varanasi of the Hills", thanks to its 81 old stone temples boasting of the fine and intricate carving. You can leisure around in the evening before you return back to the hotel for sleep over.
Day 05: Mandi
Wake up early in the morning if you do not want to miss the morning rituals performed here. Beginning with Bhutnath Temple, devoted to Lord Shiva, located at the core area of the town, check out the Maha Shivratri celebrations carried here. This is an ancient temple and a number of relics are attached to this. The next destination will be Trilokinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, thereby the Maha Shivratri celebrations at this place, too, are grand and worth watching. The temple is famous for its history, architecture and craftsmanship. Enjoy the hustle and bustle in the town as it gives the town a colorful and vivacious look. You will be staying at the hotel for the night.
Day 06: Mandi
After an early rise and gorgeous breakfast, you'll be driven to Rewalsar town, located on the outskirts of Mandi. This township is an important tourist destination, due to the fact that it is regarded as a holy place for Tibetan people who follow Buddhism. It is also a sacred place for other religions like Hinduism and Sikhism. You will be visiting a Hindu temple and Gurudwara. Drive back to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07: Mandi - Taragarh
Have a delectable breakfast at the hotel, after which you'll be driving towards Taragarh - your next destination. A small stopover at Baijnath will be made, wherein you'll be visiting the sanctimonious Bir Monastery and Vaidyanath Shiva Temple, famous for their architecture and craftsmanship. Taragarh, a small locality sited at the foothills of the Dhauladhar Mountains, provides ample vistas of the vast tea plantations. As you reach Taragarh, make a check in at the hotel. The scenic beauty from your hotel room would be simply supreme and unparalleled. Enjoy the panoramas to their best with a walk through the gardens. Do not miss out the picturesque views of the snow-clad peaks of the Himalayas. Stay at the hotel for the night.
Day 08: Taragarh - Dharamshala
Enjoy the palatable breakfast served at the hotel. Thereafter, visit the famous Tashijong Monastery. After you are done with the sightseeing of the peaceful retreat center, continue your tour towards the next destination inline - Dharamshala. On your way, shot breaks would be made at the scenic tea gardens of Palampur and Chamunda Devi Temple. As you arrive at Dharamshala, you'll be accommodated in a hotel, with the evening at your discern. Take a stroll around the hotel and get accustomed to the place. Sleep at the hotel overnight, post breakfast.
Day 09: Dharamshala
This day is reserved for a city tour of Dharamshala. Painted with a number of colors, Dharamshala is a multihued and cultural town, exuding a rich heritage and exquisite haven for travel enthusiasts. A visit to some monasteries and the interesting Tibetan Norbulingka Institute, famous for painting the Thangkas, is planned for the first half of the day. The museum is located nearby; hence, you can easily pay a visit to it. In the afternoon, a Kora walk around the Residence of Dalai Lama and visit to the Dalai Lama Temple is scheduled. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10: Dharmshala - Amritsar
An early morning rise will let you enjoy the awe-inspiring and beautiful sunrise amidst the hilly peaks. Feel and fill your lungs with crisp and fresh mountain air. You'll be served breakfast at the hotel, after which you'll journey towards Amritsar - a serene and peaceful town in Punjab. As soon as you arrive at Amritsar, check in to the hotel and freshen up. In the evening, you'll be driven to the Wagah Border to witness the "Beating the Retreat" ceremony, a serious affair for India and Pakistan who share the border. The flag march and proceedings are purely heroic and thrilling. From here, you'll be taken on an optional visit to the Golden Temple to be a part of the Palki Sahib ceremony. End the day with a drive back to the hotel for dinner and good night's sleep.
Day 11: Amritsar - Delhi
Breakfast will be served at the hotel, after which you'll visit the mecca of Sikh religion, the Golden Temple. The place is famous not only because of its religious importance but also because of its striking and amazing architecture. The dome of the temple is covered with a thin coating of gold. The real name of this Gurudwara is Sri Harmandir Sahib or Sri Darbar Sahib. The beautiful Sarovar, located in the middle of the temple premises, is quite a treat to watch. The specialty of the temple is the Guru-ka-Langar or the dining hall that feeds almost 35,000 people daily through volunteers. The next tourist attraction will be the Jallianwala Bagh, famous for the massacre which took place during India's struggle for freedom. The date is etched with red letters in the calendar of Indian history. The ground has been transformed into a park, though the well and a memorial still exist at the place to remind the visitors of the gory past. In the evening, you'll be transferred to Delhi by train. Dinner will be served onboard. As you reach Delhi, you'll be accommodated in a hotel for overnight stay.
Day 12: Delhi Departure
After having a sumptuous multi-cuisine breakfast, you'll be escorted to Indira Gandhi International Airport, from where you'll catch a flight to your respective destinations, thereby calling the fascinating and incredible tour an end.
